They are usually performed under local anesthesia, as they are interventions that last approximately 20 minutes. There is also the option to perform them under sedation, if requested by the patient.
Vasectomy
Looking for a permanent birth control method?
Scalpel-free vasectomy is a definitive, safe, and effective way to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. It’s a permanent birth control method and it’s the perfect solution if you’re convinced you don’t want to have any more children.
Outpatient irreversible procedure that is usually performed under local anesthesia. During vasectomy, the specialist seals the ducts through which sperm pass. This procedure does not provide for the use of scalpel, so your recovery will be quick.
One of the common fears before having a vasectomy is that it interferes with your ability to maintain an erection, feel sexual pleasure, or ejaculate. This is why you can rest easy, as it won’t influence your sex life.
The procedure takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes and the discharge is immediately.
If you prefer, you can perform the intervention under sedation whenever you request it in advance.
To verify the effectiveness of the method, after 2/3 months of the intervention, you will need to perform a spermogram. This test makes it possible to find the presence or absence of sperm in the sperm.
If you are interested in vasectomy, you can contact us and we will give you an appointment with one of our specialists and indicate the prices of the intervention.
Phimosis
Phymosis is a necessary operation when the foreskin fails to retract enough to expose the glans. This causes several discomforts both when it comes to sexual intercourse, urination and also predisposition to urinary tract infections.
In this procedure the doctor cuts off the excess skin, thus releasing the glans. The wound is cauterized and stitches are given in the area that requires it.
The intervention is done under local anesthesia, but if requested it can also be done under sedation. In the clinic your stay will be more or less than an hour, although the operation lasts approximately 25 minutes.
Can the brace and phymosis operation be performed on a single visit?
Yes. Although they are two different interventions, both can be carried out in the same act of operation and thus take advantage of their advantages and the same recovery period.
How long should I stay without sex?
We recommend that you do not have sex for three to four weeks after the operation to get a good recovery. After that moment, sexual activity can be resumed without limits.
What kind of care do I have to take at home?
For the first 10 days you should wash the surgical wound twice a day, dry well and then apply an antiseptic cream topically.
How long does it take to rejoin the usual activities?
After two days of rest you can rejoin the activities of daily life, however, you should be careful with physical exertions that may affect the area for two weeks, after which recovery will be complete.
Frenulum
The brace is the membrane that joins the glans with the foreskin and when it is too short it can tear causing small bleeding, erection pains and even hindering sex.
Thanks to the brace operation, this defect is corrected and normal functionality is recovered, avoiding complications.
The intervention is performed under local anesthesia, but there is also the possibility of acting with sedation.
The procedure takes approximately 15 minutes and can be discharged immediately.
